Manda and Jason
We
met playing volleyball, so when we had a chance to be in a sport with
our dogs….it couldn’t get any better. In April 2010, we went to
Woofstock and saw Ballistic Racers putting on a demo. We were
fascinated after seeing the sport of flyball on TV before, and then
getting to see it live. The sport has helped us bond even more with our
fur kids than we could’ve ever thought possible. We look forward to
learning all we can about the sport, teaching and spending time with
our kids, and good times with our team. |

Kirin
Kirin
is a merle and white Mini Aussie. She was born June 14, 2009. At the
Ballistic Racers demo, Kirin did the jumps so easily that we knew this
would be the sport for her. We definitely needed something to consume
all the extra energy that she has. She started running the whole course
very quickly. She actually competed in her first singles race after
training for a month. She has become a very consistent runner. She gets
excited when we’re going to the park to practice because she knows she
gets to play with mom, dad, and all the rest of the great people and
dogs on our team. Kirin loves playing hide and seek with Dad, fetch,
and annoying the kitties. She’s a very sweet little girl and yet has a
wild streak when playing.

Pooky
Pooky is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier born January 12, 2007. After
seeing how much attention Kirin was getting, we think that Pooky just
couldn’t stand for that. Pooky started running almost as fast as her
sister. She may only be 6 pounds, but she has a big personality. Pooky
loves everybody and every dog too. She runs our house, even though
she’s smaller than the cats. We’re looking forward to Pooky running
very soon and having a great time with the team. Apparently, she’s also
partial to her own breed because she can’t seem to get enough of Meika,
the other Yorkie. She does love to be the center of attention and is a
total Mama’s girl. Her favorite toy is her long, no stuffing, squeaky
fox. She’ll spend so much time dragging that toy around and squeaking
it that we have to take it away before she’ll squeak away our sanity.
She also loves her fur siblings, Hurley, Brody, and Kirin.
