Hi! I am Bailey…and I love FLYBALL! Do you have a ball? (looking intently) Have you seen a ball around here? (sticks nose in your pocket) My mom hides them from me but I like that. No ball? Are you sure? I can find one, I know where she keeps them. (Turns waiting for you to follow then looks back) Want me to get one? Bailey was adopted from the West Maricopa County Animal Shelter in Phoenix, Az. in December of 2006. She was the tiniest brindle puppy in a cage with lots of black and tan Shepherd mixes. She went to live with her new dad, Christian in his bachelor pad. In Arizona it’s too hot to be outside, so socialization and housebreaking were not a priority. Then, Bailey got the parvo virus and almost died in February of 2007 but her dad refused to give up and treated her himself at home. Life really changed when they both moved here to San Diego… and Bailey got a step-mom, Tiffany and a step-brother, Maddox the Pug. The first thing Bailey did was to eat through the back door to get in the house! Rules? What rules? Bailey has eaten several couches, eaten her way out of a vari-kennel…...will escape a wire crate without proper “ninja” securities, she has eaten remotes, shoes, and given free access to balls… she will find every single one of them, put them in a pile and drop them in your lap until you throw one. THIS DOG NEEDED A JOB! So Christian had to go over seas and leaves this horribly unsocialized, tyrant dog with her new step mom, Tiffany. She saw an ad for FLYBALL… when we first arrived Bailey was freaked out, hair standing up, barking and growling…afraid of the jumps, afraid of the trainers… Tiffany thought for sure they would kick her out!!! In just three short months… Bailey is a new dog! She is so smart and has already participated in her first tournament! She no longer chews stuff up and rarely has to be crated! She has a job that she LOVES!!! MUTT POWER! Forget those purebreds!!!!
