Basic training for the beginning Flyball Dogs takes place in Downtown Encinitas, a block from the beach. Here on Sunday afternoons from 2:30 to 4:00, dogs and handlers are taught the basics of Flyball. Dogs learn the jumps, turns, and getting the ball from the box. Handlers learn releases, call backs, recalls, and other important techniques. Once the owner and the dog have mastered the behavior, they are promoted to the Thursday Night Advanced Class in Poway.
