Phyllis

I've had pets all my life and I cannot even imagine life without them. Currently, I have 2 Tollers, 4 Shih Tzu & a calico kitty, named 'Chien' (french for 'dog').

I'm still fairly new to flyball, but not to dog training. I've trained & competed in agility for the past 14 to 15 years. Taz (one of my Shih Tzu) was the 'Top Shih Tzu in Agility' - for both 1999 & 2000 and he competed at the AKC Agility Nationals. I also compete in; conformation (at present - with my Shih Tzu), obedience, rally, splash dogs and field work (Tollers).

I started flyball when my youngest Toller, 'Blast' was training in agility and had some focus problems. He was young and a 'speed demon' flyball seemed, right up his alley! We are now back to agility classes, but he loves to run and truly loves 'flyball' - so what's one more training class.

Besides dogs, I'm a hair stylist, I attend classes (part-time) at Palomar College, in Graphic Art, Internet Communations and Photograghy. I love Photoshop junkie and when shooting photos - what better subject than my pets!

Jag is a Nova Scota Duck Tolling Retriever - the smallest of Sporting group- he is the lover, a master agility dog, a field dog, and has a Rally - Excellent title. Jag started flyball late - 7 years young, but he loves to run and he enjoys chasing the tennis ball - what retriever doesn't?
He is also a 'certified therapy dog' with 'Therapy Dogs Incorporated' (TDI) and has worked with patients at Sharp Rehad Center, for 1 and 1/2 years.
Blast

Blast is a crazed weasel (or more commonly known as a 'Nova Scota Duck Tolling Retriever') - he loves to run and 'worships' the 'all holy, tennis ball's - flyball was made for him! He also, competes in agility, obedience, rally, and fieldwork. Blast, is my second Toller, has high energy and is extremely high drive.
Tollers are smart, fun & exciting dogs to train. Oh, and they have one major fault - when they're excited - they 'scream'!! You can alway hear Blast at a Fyllball Tournament - their not a dog for the 'faint at heart'.
